Mick Thompson

From the stands a hang-up in the bull riding looks dangerous to the ordinary person! Well a rodeo bullfighter isn’t ordinary. What most people call dangerous has become a way of life for Mick. Fighting bulls and saving bull riders has become a profession. The talent God blessed Mick with has been recognized at the professional level, which has provided him with continued success in the PRCA/PBR for the past several years.

Mick was born and raised in Tri-Cities, Washington and graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Fitness and Sports Management.  Eight years ago he was introduced to the sport of rodeo and his passion for the sport grew. The highlight of Mick’s career came in only his second year in the PRCA. He was voted by the top bull riders in the Northwest to protect them at the Dodge Columbia River Circuit Finals Rodeo.      Mick protects bull riders at Northwest favorites such as the Baker City Elks Bull Riding Blowout, which benefits the Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon and the Xtreme Bull Riding Tour at the Ellensburg Rodeo. Not to mention many other events throughout the country. So, whether it is rescuing a cowboy from being hung-up or taking the blow of the oncoming bull Mick will "never leave you hangin."
